I am a professional genealogist, with 21 years experience. My niche is New Jersey in particular Essex, Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset and Warren counties. My research experience includes all of the Mid-Atlantic states, New England, England, Ireland and Italy, and I will work with these areas upon request. The cases I enjoy the most are the challenging ones; in particular pre-1850 research. Direct evidence is scant, and proof must be assembled.
In the past 21 years I have participated in many genealogy based seminars. I have successfully completed the Boston University certificate program and I am an alumni of the ProGen study group Program. Currently I am the coordinator for ProGen 21. I have project management, and coaching training as well. I bring all these skills together to help you solve your puzzle.
I have visited regional archives, and built a knowledge base around New Jersey genealogy. I subscribe to several online repositories and have a personal library of New Jersey and Connecticut resources. There is a family history center within 6 miles of my home, which allows access to records of almost any location. I had the pleasure to work on the third season of NBC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?”.
I actively volunteer at the Hunterdon Historical Society in Flemington New Jersey. I am currently a member of the following groups:
- Association of Professional Genealogists
- Genealogical Society of New Jersey
- Hunterdon County Historical Society
- National Genealogical Society
- New England Historic Genealogical Society
Whether you need a professional or not I hope my blog will be of some use to your research. Feel free to contact me with any questions about my services or if you just want to ask something about New Jersey genealogy in general.
